Silverado EV Rated For 12,500 lbs Towing And More Payload

Electric Vehicles are becoming all the rage, and soon, Electric Trucks will be on job sites and highways alike. The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV has buyers looking forward to a futuristic truck with the same abilities as a gas truck. Top-of-the-line 4WT trim models are already being shipped to fleet customers around the country. Soon, you will see the Silverado EV arrive at dealerships nationwide, including Chevrolet of Spring Valley. 

Buyers will have multiple trim levels, including WT, 3WT, 4WT, RST First Edition, and Trail Boss. The fleet model will be the standard WT trim, offering 510 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque. If you opt for the 4WT trim, you will get an EPA-estimated 450 miles of range with 10,000 lbs of towing capacity and 1,400 lbs of payload. In Tow/Haul mode, Chevrolet says this trim will have up to 515 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque. The 3WT will have up to 393 miles of range, 12,500 lbs of max towing ability, and 1,750 lbs of payload capacity. It will have 510 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque in Tow/Haul mode. RST models will feature four-wheel steering. 

Pricing for the 3WT and 4WT have recently been announced, with a $1,895 destination and handling fee. The 3WT has a base MSRP of $74,800 and $79,800 for the 4WT.

Like the Avalanche from many years ago, Chevrolet uses the same ingenious bed design for owners. With the tailgate down, you can lay the interior rear seats down, open the cabin, and have up to 10 feet 10 inches of length. With the tailgate up, you will still have over 9 feet, and with the rear seats up, the bed length can carry objects as long as 5 feet 11 inches.
