2025 Chevrolet Silverado HD

Performance

The Silverado HD is one of the most capable trucks on the market, with the standard 6.6-liter gas motor that produces 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque, to the Duramax 6.6-liter turbo-diesel with 470 horsepower and 975 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are able to put the power to the pavement thanks to the Allison 10-speed automatic transmission. With far more ratios in a similar overall range, the engine stays closer to its peak torque range, putting every single foot-pound of torque to good use. In addition, ratio changes are smooth, and downshifts are quick. The gas 6.6-liter Silverado HD can tow up to 26,000 pounds, while the highest towing capacity for Duramax models is 36,000 lbs.

The 2025 Silverado HD LT and LTZ trims can be optioned with the Trail Boss package that adds Z71 Shocks and Suspension Package, Blacked-out front and rear bumpers, Trail Boss bed decals, red recovery hooks, and unique 20-inch black wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich K03 tires.

Exterior

The HD was given a new look in 2024 to complement its mechanical enhancements. For 2025, the Silverado HD is unchanged, carrying the new front-end design with new headlights, a new grille, and new C-shaped LED daytime running lights framing the whole upper front end. Dual-projector headlights are now standard on LTZ, ZR2, and High Country. As owners approach or depart their 2025 Silverado HD, the units engage in an animated lighting sequence to welcome or bid them farewell from the truck.

Interior

All 2025 Silverado HD models also carry over the same great interior that debuted on the 2024 truck. The base WT trim level comes standard with either cloth or vinyl split-bench front seats. Custom trim levels feature cloth seats only. Stepping up to the LT trim brings optional leather seating surfaces with a split bench like the WT and Custom trucks. The LTZ trim brings standard leather and the option for either bucket seats or split-bench front seats. The top-of-the-line ZR2 and High Country trims feature standard leather bucket seats.

Technology

The WT and Custom trim levels come standard with a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen. The LT and above trims add a 13.4-inch center touchscreen and a 12.3-inch driver information system that are fully integrated.

All trim levels, including the base WT, come standard with Hitch Guidance. When in reverse, this feature shows guidelines on the infotainment screen that help make backing up to a trailer much easier.

When purchasing an LT, LTZ, or High Country trim, buyers can take advantage of the available wireless phone charger.

Safety and Driver Assistance

All 2025 Silverado HD models come standard with excellent safety features to help keep you and everyone else safe in the vehicle, including Front Pedestrian Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, and Following Distance Indicator.

When towing, the Silverado HD can be optioned with advanced features that make towing safer, such as Adaptive Cruise Control with Trailer, Enhanced Transparent Trailer, Trailer Side Blind Zone Alert, and GCW Alert. GCW Alert informs drivers if the trailer weight is heavier than the Gross Combined Weight Rating.
